Marketing help for the hopeless geniuses among us
January 5th, 2009 by Allen VoivodSee if this sounds familiar…
Nobody can do what YOU can do, in the specific way you do it. Regardless of how many people have a similar skill set, you have a certain style, personality, and attitude that can’t be matched by anyone else! You’re so good at what you do, and enjoy it so much, you decided to turn it into a business for yourself.
Unfortunately, when it comes to promoting yourself, marketing your products, or selling your services, all the confidence you have in yourself just flies out the window, and you feel as awkward as a flamingo pretending to be an ostrich.
You might ask someone for marketing help, but you’re not sure what that would look like. You see only the cost of marketing, because you haven’t seen or don’t believe in marketing’s return on investment. Maybe you have ideas but you’re not sure where to start, or you don’t think you can write marketing material, or you think “marketing” is a synonym for that four-letter-word - “SELL.”
Now, here comes 2009. A fresh and clean start. How will you make this year different from the one before? How will you move past the overwhelm, leave behind the regrets about what you did or didn’t do last year, and focus on “sharing the value” rather than “getting the business” (which, happily, puts more money in your bank account)?
In the spirit of Radical Honesty, I have to admit that the above paragraphs hit pretty close to home. I also know, from meeting and talking to business owners across the country, that we’re not the only ones out there with these challenges.
Which is why we’re inviting you to our 2-Day “Down ‘n Dirty Marketing Planning for 2009″ teleseminar event. Don’t make marketing planning any harder than it has to be. Come play with us! Invest a couple hours and what you’d pay for a decent night out to roll your sleeves up, figure out the most strategic, cost-effective ways to drive more sales and profits in 2009…and then plug ‘em into a plan that works.
Even if you can’t make the live calls for this event, you still get the digital recordings, along with a raft full of templates and bonuses.
Besides, what’s it going to cost you NOT to get the help you need in planning for a better 2009?
Read more about it and reserve your seat here, and we hope to “see” you on the calls!

WOW as I read the above article it was like listening to my own thoughts. Marketing is not a strength of mine. In 2008 I spent alot of money on promoting my site thru from pay per click to a complete make over to beginning a monthly newsletter to online and offline networking and utililizing LOA etc etc etc
In fact tonight I was going to post on the networking sites a trade offer for marketing and then I happened to stumble upon your site
Thanks so much for this Aha blog
