[...] In addition, a blog is a great networking tool, “a way to connect with other like-minded professionals,” as Lani Voivod puts it. It’s just one more way of extending your network, and well beyond the local business groups you may already frequent. To learn more about blogging as a business person, an executive or manager, check out Naked Conversations, and also have a look at BlogWriteForCEOs.com, Debbie Weil’s excellent website for corporate blogging resources.
[...] So why blog? Among its many merits, “a blog is a way to connect with other like-minded professionals,” as my wife and business partner Lani Voivod puts it. That’s exactly what networking is, right? Which you do anyway as a good executive and business person, so why not extend it into the Internet? [...]

I have a client who caters to blind, off-the-grid, geriatric, quadruple amputees. I'm pretty sure his audience doesn't read blogs. For the rest of the businesses out there (especially service based businesses), there's no excuse. Thanks Lani for throwing yourself out there, pressing the issue and pointing out (for us bloggers) the obvious.
-- Kevin Skarritt
P.S. My first remark was in jest ... please don't email me if you're a blind, geriatric amputee.
